Cherie graduated from Penn State University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s in Journalism and went on to work in the publishing industry for 5 years. Her passion for fitness prompted her to make a career change to pursue her dreams. Hally Bayer was one of the first fitness professionals Cherie spoke with about what a career in fitness would look like. Hally encouraged her to explore all areas in the industry and find her voice. Since then, Cherie has become a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and started coaching classes around Philadelphia.
Also during this time, Cherie fell in love with the Pilates and Power Yoga classes at Philly Power Yoga and Thrive Pilates. An avid runner, she had quickly realized how beneficial Pilates and yoga are, keeping common runners’ injuries at bay. Cherie is excited to be teaching the Thrive Cardio Sculpt class and to be continuing to grow in her personal Pilates and yoga practices. When she is not leading classes, Cherie enjoys running, bicycling, hiking, exploring the city, and spending time with family and friends. She also volunteers with Back on My Feet, a nonprofit that helps those experiencing homelessness get back on their feet through running. Don't be fooled by her sweet smile, she will kick your butt!
